I can't decide whether to buy a posh frock for the Danish
wedding, or just to wear something smart that I already have. Problem is, I
think by the time the wedding comes around at the end of November, I will be
too skinny to wear any of my smart clothes; they're all a size 22 or a 20 at
best.
I don't want to get The Dress made up as a rush order for November; it seems a
bit of a waste to get it for November when it will be just we two who will see
it. But I would like to dress up a bit, even if it is just a case of getting
the legal formalities dealt with.
So, to that end, I've been looking at web sites. Debenhams, Next, Evans, New
Look and so on. I just can't find anything I really like! I don't really want
to spend £200 on a ballgown that won't fit me in a few months, that's nearly as
much as The Dress is going to cost.
I don't like my legs, so cocktail-length dresses are out. Maxi dresses aren't
all that smart, or at least the ones I've found aren't all that smart. I could
always go with a really cheap wedding dress (I mean, really super-cheap!) but
it seems a bit dotty to have two wedding dresses!
I've lost almost half a stone in the last two weeks. I'm not complaining about
that at all, don't get me wrong. It's all good. Realistically, anything I buy
now won't fit for too long. Doesn't mean I don't want to look nice next month
when we tie the knot...
