It's a new month, and the last week of the Discovery Plan.

I will be sort of sad to see it go - after all, I've managed to lose a significant amount of weight on it, more than once (erm, thrice, as it happens!) You know, I can never say the phrase (well, clause, actually) 'lose a significant amount of weight' without hearing the broad West Indian tones of my ex's neurologist, who told him he had to lose just that at one consultation.)

But nothing in life ever stays the same, Weight Watchers plans least of all. So here's to the new ProPoints plan when it finally arrives, and so long for now to the Discovery Plan! I am really excited about embarking on a new adventure. A change is as good as a rest, especially when you're in this for the long haul. I reckon I have about a year to go to get to goal, maybe a bit more. So really, anything that gets me excited about this and keeps my eye on the prize is to be devoutly welcomed.

It's a glorious clear, crisp, sunny day here. I am about to run upstairs to dress, then I am going to grab my iPod and walk over to the supermarket nearby to pick up some soup veggies and some wholegrain rolls so I can get lunch on the go.

That trip to the Commissary should happen this evening, which most likely means I can kiss goodbye to that meal out tonight, too...oh well!

Then it will be time to settle down to some serious revision! I have a great grammar revision book, and I am going to tackle some of the later chapters which cover some of the things that we've learnt on the current course that still confound me. That should help me figure out sentence construction and placement of verbs, and co-ordinating and subjunctive conjunctions once and for all. Then I think a quick review of noun and adjective endings (those accursed pronouns!) and I should be all set to do a lot better in the Sprachbausteine (grammar building blocks) part of the exam, as well as be able to write my letter a bit more clearly.

I'm feeling really positive today! I haven't had an SP since weighing in on Saturday and I am going to try really hard not to, so Saturday's weigh in should be a big surprise (hopefully not a big shock!) I want to try and get at least half an hour's exercise in every day this week, my body is horrendously flabby and untoned and it's more obvious than ever now that the flab is starting to come off. Muscle tone, what is that?!

Here's to a great week!
