Well, you could have knocked me down with a feather!

I tried the dress on first of all. It's long - long enough that on my 5' 8 and a quarter, 33 and a half inch inside leg frame, I am trampling on the hem. I shall have to wear heels with it! (I was hoping to be able to avoid that, given I'm an inch or so taller than the OH.)

And it fits - almost perfectly! It's a tiny bit tight over my bust, but that's because I have big knockers, not because I'm too fat for my frock! It's not tight enough to be obviously tight, but it is a very snug fit at the top of the bodice. It doesn't cling to my belly or dig in at the waist, and the skirt is wide enough that it flows nicely past my hips. There is no area on that dress other than the top of the bodice where it is too obviously form-fitting.

I expect - hope! - to be able to lose another six or seven pounds before the wedding, which will hopefully assist with the fit of the bodice. The running should help to tone me up all over and blast the fat somewhat, so that will be good as I will lose inches even if the scales don't shift all that much.

The dress is a size 20. The cardigan is a size 18, and that fits, too! It's charcoal grey, fluffy and very off the shoulder and slouchy, and cropped so it ends at the waist. It's awfully trendy for me to be wearing, but it looks lovely with the dress. The dress is a pale blue, almost grey, with a floral print. It's a summer dress, but that doesn't bother me. I will wear it with leggings and my biker boots, which are tan, as I hate wearing tights, and the cardigan will help to keep me warm, too. The boots are heeled, but they're nice chunky heels so I can actually walk in them, and they're only a couple of inches high. Someone suggested a tan belt, but I think with the cardigan being waist length it might look a bit odd - I may try it and see as I need a belt anyway, even my small jeans are getting a little loose around the waist!

I never thought I would be excited about getting into a size 20 dress, or owning a size 18 cardigan! They're both hidden away in the wardrobe in the spare bedroom so himself can't catch sight of them before the wedding day. *g*
