I don't quite know what happened today.

Woke up really late, or rather got up late and didn't bother with food until about 2 pm. This is quite normal for me, whether I'm up late or at the normal time. I do manage breakfast sometimes, but usually I just can't face food early in the day. Of any kind.

Had two pumpkin seed wholemeal rolls, with a boiled egg and some WW grated cheese mixed into two tablespoons of Hellmann's low-fat mayonnaise and a bit of salt and black pepper. Very nice! That left me with 14.5 points for the rest of the day.

I bought a couple of meringues in the bakers when I bought the brotchen and pretzels for himself and the pumpkin rolls for me. Had one with lunch (forgot to mention that earlier!) and the other about 5 pm. 4 points for the two of them, I think - no cream filling or anything, just two flattish meringues, about 30 grammes each.

Tea was actually - despite my protestations that I normally cook from scratch! - a Lean Cuisine ready meal (sesame chicken with noodles), coming in at a walloping 4.5 points. That was about 8.30 pm.

Then about half an hour ago I had 200 grammes of 3% fat oven chips (another 4.5 points), and am now having a chocolate and cream WW pudding (2 points.) I have half a point left for the day and am considering a couple of clementines to mop those up as I haven't had any of my five a day so far. (How did I manage that?! I normally shovel down veggies like they're going out of fashion!)

Now, though, I feel as though I've been scoffing all day. I have been eating fairly regularly, but quite sensibly I suppose, if you discount the meringues and the lack of fruit and veg.

I had an NSV last night and one this morning. I tried on a nightie (short, black satin, broderie anglaise style lace on straps and bodice) that didn't quite fit. Still a tiny bit snug on the hips, but I can actually pull it down over my hips now.

And this morning, I realised that my tighter pair of new jeans - which four or five weeks were so tight I couldn't really comfortably fasten them - are loose enough to slide down without unbuttoning or unzipping them.

I don't measure myself very frequently, but last night I took out the tape measure. Waist is 37 and 3/4 inches, hips are around 48 inches. That's six inches off the hips and five inches off the waist. I've also lost six inches off each thigh. (I did mention I used to have legs that would turn heads - looks like in another four or five stone I may well have them back!)

All I need now is a loss on Saturday morning, and this will have been a good week. Fingers crossed!
